Default Oh where oh where has my little lifter gone?

Imagine if you will a greasy, sweaty figure hunched over the front of his Trans Am; slowly, gently, maneuvering a cam shaft out of the engine with the concentration of a brain surgeon. Clunk, clank. Hey dude, what was that noise?

Why are there only 15 lifters in this bag?

Son-a-bitch.

Oh please God, I will never undress an 18 year old girl with my eyes again. No more cussing. I will go to church every Sunday. Just please……….

I got lucky. The thought of a big chunk of metal banging and bouncing around on a fall through my engine makes my ********* shrink, but it could have been worse. I cannot believe I missed a lifter when I pulled the trays. Quite a bonehead move.

One more little tidbit: when I pulled my oil pump, I found that my o-ring had been pinched at the factory.

LOL, nice narrative. Congrats on finding it without days of cursing and waving the rubber chicken.

I think stock bolts are trash after being torqued and removed. That is why I bought ARP bolts.
