my engine made a weird clicking sometimes so ive decided to pull the heads and change the lifters.

has anyone ever done this and the clicking actually stopped and everthing was fine?

or do most people change the lifters and then there is still clicking and it wasnt the lifters to begin with.

(also does anyone know what it means that i could only hear the clicking in the car and barly under the hood?)
