10w30 making my motor knock??? After I did a head and cam install in my car, I replaced the oild with Mobil 1 10W30 synteic oil. Upon starte up the motor was knocking like a *****. It never went away. I drained it and used 10w40 Castrol syntec and the noise went away. Noth the car sounds fine but when gunned the lifter starte making noise. Wut could it be??

improper pushrod, or misadjusted rocker?
there is minimal difference between 10w30 and 10w40
i do know htat when i put 15w oil (that m1 high performance stuff that came out a few years ago) into my 60K mile LT1....it was noticably louder at startup...but went away.
wrecked it before i could change it out
