Default Kick'n SRT's tail....242/242 duration on a 408?....

I've watched and read closely to the cam consultations on this website (thank you )...still wrestling with what cam to use for a 408 w/3000 stall, A4, and ported 243 heads...the Trq2 I have currently drives great...but most experts say I'm leaving HP on the table.......with 2 1/2 dual exaust , Patriot springs and 300cfm heads, does a 242/242 cam w/say 112+2 lsa and 600+ lift seem appropriate?...I want to make my badass truck even more badass (kick'n tuner cars' asses at stop lights right now....want some insurance vs. SRT8s!).....010 out of the hole, -2cc valve relief w/Diamond pistons, .0.040 gaskets,

I have a 244/248 in my 383 and it seems to me at times that Im leaving a bit of power behind.

12Gauge,
This is my concern...leaving power under-the-curve..... Your vehicle is much lighter and has a bigger stall ...sounds like you want more power sooner(?)...I'm thnkg I need peak power at 3000 rpms....but don't won't to go to 244/248 112 LSA if I lose torque like what it appears is happening to you....

242/248 good all around hp/trq with excellent street manners, and 248/254 for all out race hp/trq. a little better cylinder head would help also.
