Default Squeeling/tapping in valvetrain

The other day I started getting a squealing noise in my passenger side valvetrain. I relashed all the valves but it's still there. I also noticed it's tapping alot more. Everything seemed normal when I was in there. I plan to pull the rockers and go from there. Is there anything I should be looking for or something that could cause this?

Check your oil for metal shavings. Could be a turned lifter, but thats worst case.

It comes and goes with rpm's if that makes sense. The higher the rpm the more frequent and quicker the noise is....almost like something rubbing. When it first started it only did it when the car was up to temp. Now it's all the time.

Your describing it like more of a rubbing. Then i would say more along the lines of accesory drive (alti, idler, p.s.)?? sounds can be decieving. Try a dab a grease on the belt. I have heard belt glaze make a tap/rub noise.

Maybe I'll take the belt off and start the car to see if the sound is still there.

When I had that noise it was bad cam lobes chewing up lifters. I would check the oil for debris right away.
