Are these available at regular part stores or dealer only?

I got mine from a dealer for $40. They had to order it. If they have to order it anyway might as well go mail order like gmpartsdirect and save some money.

Hey Brian you had the mms229 cam didnt you? What did you set the rev limiter at with stock heads and headers?

I got mine from O'Reilys. It was a Borg/Warner part. It was cheaper than the GM unit.

12559781 is for 1998 applications only. 12562267 is for use on 1999-02 applications. We have these in stock for imediate shipping. We are also the exclusive GM sponser for LS1Tech.com, gmpartsdirect is not. We have a price matching policy, call for details, or see it on our ordering information page if needed.

The 98 has a third wire that goes straight to the gauge. The 99 on only has two and the gauge gets its signal from the PCM
