Default Radiator Flush at Dealership??

Car recently overheated and coolant was coming out of the overflow tank. I refilled with some extra coolant that was in my garage. I want to be sure that coolants did not mix, so I am considering getting a radiator flush at the dealership. Has anyone had this done before?

I have a Trans Am, and someone told me that doing a coolant flush is not a good idea b/c the thermostats have a tendency to stick open after that causing the car to constantly overheat. Is this true?

Or do you think I would be safe getting the coolant flushed at the dealership?

I flushed mine without any problems. If you overheated, it's likely that the thermostat is bad anyway and failed to open. If I were you I'd change the thermostat and flush the system.

Flush it yourself and get a new T-stat. It's easy and it'll save you money. Here's some guidelines. This is on an LT1,LS1 drain is very similar. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#radflush
