How many guys run 11:1 CR with their heads? Do ya'll get much knock if any on 93 gas?
Brent was gonna mill mine for 11:1 since i told him I was staying NA and run 93octane all the time

Re: How many guys run 11:1 CR with their heads? I'm running 10.8:1 now w/S2 TEA 5.3L heads (unmilled just machined for straightness) and runs fine on 93 octane

Re: How many guys run 11:1 CR with their heads? I just tuned my timing curve in and am at 31 from 5400 to redline. Had some small KR and richened it...no more knock...I am getting close to tuning this thing in. Man, do these modded LS1's need to be tuned...but well worth it!

I just tuned my timing curve in and am at 31 from 5400 to redline. Had some small KR and richened it...no more knock...I am getting close to tuning this thing in. Man, do these modded LS1's need to be tuned...but well worth it!

Im guessing the heads are gonna richen my car enough to were I shouldnt have any knock issues from going lean

I have the same heads as you. I see you are running a big cam.
Did you have any piston/valve clearance issues? Did you use a standard head gasket, flycut the pistons? What lenght pushrods did you use?
I have not purchased my cam yet.

Re: How many guys run 11:1 CR with their heads? I run 11:1 with 93 octane, no problems as of yet but if its real hot out and I plan on racing then I will mix in some 104 just to be safe.
