Default Cylinder Heads!!! Best bang for the buck

I know someone will probably say use the search feature, and to that I say that I have and that I have read probably every post on here about the different heads, and I can see that each response is user dependent. Just curious what you guys think that have used different types and if the benefits out way the price. For instance I see the PRC heads on Texas Speed that flow low 300's @ 600 lift, and everyone talks AFR, AFR, AFR. For the price difference is there that much gain?

I just want to make a decent setup for a 2800 to 3000 pound car with an 02 LS1 6 speed in it. Any input would be great.

Thanks

TSP or Patroit are great heads.
I would go the dart route myself for just a few extra bucks.

Darts. They were only 11rwhp behind the AFR's in the gmpp shootout.

In terms of "best bang for the buck" - My research told me Patriot Performance.

Not to mention that you can't put a price on their amazing customer service.

Not all of TEA heads should be considered budget heads. Before the aftermarket castings came out thoes were the high dollar heads to get.

IM gonna throw in a vote for CARTEK 4X LS6 heads. My car makes 507.9RWHP with a 4X cam, runs 10.4s a;; day traps 131+MPH in the 1/4 mile with a 3300lbs race weight.

Cant argue with those results.

I got some Patriots, came with the cam, dual springs, titanium retainers, I thought it was a great price $1895 may be worth considering. Patriot Head and Cam Package from WS6 Store
