Default Pinning balancer - how many pins to use?

I've got the crank pinning tool and a handful of pins... Is 1 pin sufficient or could I throw another one on there just opposite for good measure?

One is usually sufficient, two are desireable for forced induction applications. If you choose to use two, make sure your balancer has two key ways.

One should be good, but since you have more why not go ahead and use 2. Your real worry is the crappy stock balancer coming apart. While you're in there replace it with an ati. I've seen stock balancers come apart and destroy supercharger brackets, steering racks, etc. Pinning the balancer only protects you if the balancer actually stays in one piece.

One is more than enough.

Eagle crank, powerbond pulley. I'm just gonna use one, the motor is naturally aspirated.

Use 2, why wouldnt you? All your loosing is maybe 20 minutes of your time and you will feel much safer always. Or be lazy, use one, and always wonder about it.

I wouldn't call it lazy, 99.9% of balancers don't have two key ways.
