Default Weird "flat" spot in 3rd?

Hey guys,

I recently picked up my '00 Z28 M6 about a month ago. When I'm slowly chuggin' through town with lil' granny shifts and such, I noticed something weird about the car's powerband, specifically in 3rd gear. While in 3rd doing just, let's say 40mph, if I romp on it, the immediate acceleration is followed by barely a 1 second "flat" spot in the power delivery. Like, the car temporarily "lets off"... but then it's A+ acceleration from then on. Now, if I'm straight up runnin' the car through every gear, it doesn't do it...only when I'm slowly crawling and decide to romp it in 3rd. Anybody know what that is, or what causes it? The car has 83k on the odo. but is very strong. No leaks, no weird noises, nothing. TIA!

slowly crawling.. what is your rpm and speed... its gonna hesitate if you are at 800 RPM and let it go... just downshift when you wanna go fast get the rpm in the power band and then let her go.

I would try changing out your egr valve. They can cause weird transition problems like you have.

Possibly a knock module had the same problem it was pulling about 15* of timing but that would set a code.

I suppose I won't worry a whole lot about it cuz she's not throwing codes or anything. ProjecT9: I don't have ASR... I assume the fake plastic switch next to the fog lamp switch is where the ASR is supposed to be?
