Default Ideal Air Fuel Ratio

What A/F ration does the lsx like. I have a ls6 headed mild cam motor that I am getting tuned this weekend. I am curious to hear what I should shoot for as far as A/F. Thanks.

Between 12.5 and 13.0 is usually pretty good. If you have catalysts, then you want to richen it up a bit so they don't overheat. 12.0 is a good catalyst protection A/F, but it will cost you power and fuel economy.

every car is different. generally for an NA you will want 12.5 -13.2 for max power.

I like the 12.8 - 13.2 range for N/A motors. richest right at torque peak. Leaning out past that to peak HP. Then rich again past peak HP for safety.

Some people make real good power at 13.5, but the tune better stay spot on or you could easily put yourself in danger.

For power 12.8-13.2
For cruising mileage 14.7 Stoich baby! (unless you go open loop and push it)

I run open loop at target the following:

15:1 at idle and cruise
12.6:1 at peak torque (in PE)
12.9:1 at peak hp (in PE)

As MAP loads up past 70kPa, I richen it up progressively while approaching 90kPa (i.e. it drops to 14.5:1, then 14:1, 13.5:1, and finally 13:1). That way, it gets more fuel in the event that PE doesn't kick on.
