Default No oil pressure in valvetrain, I'm lost

Heres other thread to give background

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...75#post7226675

I've checked the orange plug on the back

I don't know what else to check. the oil is clean, and its got pressure in teh bottom, where could I have blockage?

I'm really lost. I would hook up a guage but im afraid to turn the motor any more once i realized there was no oil pressure up top.

Anyone have any stories of absent mindedness while assembling a motor that leads to this?

pulled the front of the motor, still lost. everything is there, tight, and theres no oil leaking from anywhere (i was told to check this due to oil leaking from gally = no oil pressure past that internal leak.

anyone?

The Oil galley plug I reference in the other post should have been removed when the block was vatted and then machined. If it was reinstalled its a big no no. Its a 5 dollar part and should be staked in there once its installed..>Hence why its not reusable. Please remove and inspect it. Thats the only thing that allows oil to the top of the motor!!!!!!!!!!!

so that orange plug on the back of the motor is 99.9% my problem?

is there a way to get to that without pulling the tranny?

also could someone post a picture of what it looks like PROPERLY installed?

i remmeber what it looked like.

I'm just not looking forward to possibly having to pull my motor, AGAIN. this is like the 4th time in 2 weeks.

You cant reinstall them simply because of what I mentioned. It wont seal up 100% either and will bleed on by it. You have to pull the trans back to get it out. Consult a manual if you want pictures and a full write up.
