LS1 VS TPI is like Roger Clemens pitching to a guy with no limbs. There is no match.

Agreed, however both motors including the TPI have their strong points. TPI's make a TON of TQ, and can be pretty fun to drive around town if you mod them. However in the long run, an LS1 will run circles around a TPI car all day long given similar conditions.

Yeah I had a TPI car for 5 years. It was an 89 GTA. Talk about hitting a wall at 4500 rpm's.

One of my buddies had a 305TPI with a cam, boltons, and a 125 shot....

We ran from a 10 roll and I put MANY carlengths on him. I would be afraid to even take a guess at it... I took it up to about 125mph and I know I had 15 cars or more..

But his was a 305, dont know about a 350 TPI with those same mods...

My car is a 98 Trans Am A4 with boltons.. I ran 12.5@110.6 if you want something to compare it to...

It's very hard to make me laugh out loud but you did...

Really you are comparing technology from the 80's to current stuff.

I don't know all the differences, but isnt the L98 TPI motor the same thing as an LT1 except with standard cooling, less agressive iron heads, and a more restrictive intake?

I'm not a TPI expert, I'm sure one will pop in, but they are like 9:1 compression and have SBC chevy iron heads that probably are like 20 year old casting designs.
