what can I do to get more out of my H/C combo??
I have Patriot CNC'd 243 castings with stock valves. I am running a 232/236 595/601 +4 on a 112 Comp XER lobe. I am wondering what i can do to get a little more out of my combo. I am going to stick with the cam I have.
I don't want to have to fly cut the pistons. I am wondering what my options are. I have thought about pulling the heads and have them hand ported. I have also thought about getting bigger valves and/or getting the heads milled. I just don't know what I can do with out fly cutting the pistons. I really don't know if I would have issues with PVC with the bigger valves and/or milling.
Give me some suggestions. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Milled and a port matched 90/90 will make a big difference.

What are your scr and dcr numbers? Also, with that cam advanced that far your valve events are likely costing you some torque in the midrange and will also be flat on top.
