Default Crane Cams 1.7 Gold Rockers question...

In the 144750-16 kit, what is the length of the pushrods that they come with? And, since I know they are shorter than stock (7.2 comes to mind, but someone remind me), isnt that drastically too low for the cars or does the rockers design call for a pushrod that short?

They are 7.250". They are required because the pushrod cup of the rocker is positioned lower than the stock setup. When I did my heads and switched to Morel lifters, I had to decrease the length to 7.150".

7.250 is correct. when you change over from a shaft/pedastal style mount over to a rocker stud set up, everything moves down closer to the head, so things get shortened accordingly, along with the way the crane has engineered the rocker arm geometry/rocker sweep pattern and preload will determine this length also.

What springs are you running and what is the installed height? I have the Crane 1.7 rockers and they run out past 6,800 with no float although I had the tuner reset the rev limiter to 6,200. Usually float is the result of the valve springs.

cannot run stock springs with cranes rockers, or valve float will occur.
