Default PTV clearance question

can anybody tell me how much piston to valve clearance would be increased with a JE flat top piston with -2cc valve reliefs over stock?

Thanks all,
Wayne

Just ask the sponsor selling them. Or call JE.

-2cc is about .080 deep. So that is how much is increased.
However those pistons might sit differently (piston >deck height so that figure can be increased /decreased)

this is actually for a Eagle 383 kit. i'm gonna have the deck skimmed just to clean it upso that shouldn't take off more than a couple thousandths. i'd like to use a vindicator cam in this engine so that's why i'm so concerned about clearance. i'll call eagle and see what they think. i just like to get more than one (theirs) opinion.

Why a Vindicator and not a G5X4?

Calling won't help you, you need to actualy measure piston deck height. Most competent builders like to use .010 out of hole in LSx.

I was saying call because he asked originally, "how much piston to valve clearance would be increased with a JE flat top piston with -2cc valve reliefs". Just an FYI. By all means, go on with the chlorophyll!
