Default hyd lifter and lift...

how much of a cams lift is eaten up by a hydraulic lifter? if i have a cam with .642 intake lift and .612 exhaust, how much of that am i actually seeing using hydraulic roller lifters?

put a dial indicator on it and check it. with deflection, absorbation, heat expansion, i would say .628-.634 range.

i was really just curious, i just wanted a round about guess. it doesnt really bother me enough to measure it all out and i cant measure it out @ 4,5,6k RPM b/c i cant duplicate that amount of force/pressure on the valve train/lifter. just wanted to know how much lift I'm probably actually seeing. thanks for the input man
