Default LS6 oil pump>>

When i install my TEA heads and B1 cam should i put the LS6 oil pump in. I really dont wanna spend the money if i dont have to. I will have the comp. upgrades and hardned push rods then all the bolt-ons, will that all work with out doing a new oil pump? THANKS!

Default Re: LS6 oil pump>>

I had my pump stop 15K miles ago, ...towed car to dealer ...dealer hit it with a rubber hammer and it started working again ...fine ever since...

I'm planning a H/C swap and bought a replacement pump...I dont think it needs a pump but when I am in there I thought it makes sense to change it out....

...the older cars have more trouble ...I think GM changed the design slightly in 2000... and those pumps have less problems...

It really is a matter of choice....if my pump did not stop awhile back I would not change it....
