Default My ASA cam is in.

First off the car started right up and idled perfect. As of yet it has no tunning. I am waiting to get my headers on to tune it. It has not stalled, and has killer lope. This is on stock cats and manifolds. It is not nearly as loud as the sound clip that was posted on this site . It sounds alot deeper through my duals and is quite a bit quiter. So it has a nice deep lope. I love it. I drove the car 152 miles to get home from the shop. The only difference driveability wise is the cam likes to be above 2000 rpm. Under 2000 rpm it has less power than stock. As soon as I hit 2000 the thing just pulls like crazy to 6500. It has a killer mid range. Campared to my TR220 I think SOTP I lost a little peak hp above 5500 rpm but gained everywhere else.

Mike
My car has never been tuned. With the TR220 in I could barley tell I had a cam. The car started right up and idled fine yet chaotic at the same time. By perfect I mean it never died but had the meanest lope I have ever heard on a F body in person.Besides sound clips I have never heard anything like it on a modern day car; my car now sound like a sick muscel car from back in the day. I also went through stop and go traffic and it never died. In fact I kept wanting traffic to stop so I could listen to it idle. And my exhaust note seems louder than it was with the TR cam. The cam even sounds bad a$$ when I am driving at 2000 or 3000 rpm. Even at those rpm's it does not sound stock but still has a deep rumble in the exhaust note. I cant begine to tell you how much I love it. In my opinion it is the perfect cam for me after driving it. Mad power everywhere after 2000 rpm and the lope is perfect.
BTW in a side note the shop I went to said the cam would suck when I told them the specs like everyone on ls1.com said. After the install the same guys were amazed at how the cam sounded and now are excited about dynoing and tuning the cam.

I would love to but I dont think I can afford it. As of now I am waiting for my headers before I tune and dyno.

oooooh I'm getting excited...I'm doing mine this weekend and I can't wait!!!!! I'm just bursting w/excitment But I'm not going stock, I already have mac headers w/off road y-pipe, hooker catback, K&N FIPK, 85mm mass descreened, some tuning w/edit. But this weekend, I'm going to be putting on heads that have been cut .040, crane 1.8 rockers, manley 2.02 and 1.6 valves w/a five angle vavle job, and the ASA cam. It is going to be sweet

That sounds sick. You are going to love it. Be prepared to lope hard. This cam has made me very happy.

cool man, another member with the ASA cam. hey word of warning after i put my ASA cam in I ran 13% lean with stock injectors I went to get it tuned by LS1 edit and we pulled as much as we could out of the stock injectors and was still 8% lean so diffently get injector before tuning. with SVO #30 I am now a 5% rich and cool . i also started my cam for the first time through the manifolds and changed it after about 300 miles to the hooker long tubes BIG DIFFERENCE. dude as good as that cam feels now just wait until tuning and headers it will feel twice as powerful than just the cam swap. some 35-50 hp. by the way mine idled like crap before i tuned it, it would chog and bog and want to idle at 300 rpms i would always have to keep reving it to keep the r's up not now, good luck man.

my dyno time are 400 RWHP and 402 RWTQ
dude it made no less than 360 TQ from 2500-6800
the ASA cam has HELLA torque everywhere and a whole lotta top end thats right i take mine to 6800 rpm and it would go more but the bottom end wont take it so 6800 is were i shift

Just returning the favor. As I recall you convinced me when I had the 230 and I could not be happier.
