Default Texas speed Head/cam combo

is there any higher CR head available with stock flat top pistons?

my CR should be 10.7:1 with the 5.3 stage 2.5 heads and TSP torquer V3. I wanna go a little higher CR maybe a hair under or over 11:1 SCR

Have TSP mill the heads. Problem solved! Also, you can go with thinner .040 cometic head gaskets.

I would call them to ask how much they would suggest milling before you run into PTV problems

Oh eayh I defintely will ask. I wonder how much they charge for it. I know the TV3 has high lift, so I hope they can, or maybe Ill go with a cam with less lift and more duration.

I just want higher CR, because I know itll net me more HP without sacrificing drivability with going too big of a cam. and Ill need a good tune.

Um, duration is what will cause PTV issues. Not lift. So your cam plans are backward.
Not to mention, just take the heads to a machine shop if TSP wants too much to mill them. You can get them both milled for a total of less than $60 at a machine shop.

Patriot 59cc 6.0 (LS6 Style) head. Get 2.02/1.57 valves.
The TV3 might fit but not on 111LSA unless you want to flycut. I would say a 113+0 will fit and a 112 might be tight.

We typically deck a little bit extra for guys running the T3. Give us a call when you get some extra time & we can discuss options.

I can mill it @ my own Auto shop @ my college, thanks. I have experience moving material off cylinder blocks as well a sheads, mostly Ive done it on Cast Iron and Gen 1 SBCs, Ive also bored and honed blocks and ported SBC heads.

I said that because Im speaking in general, without having done research on it. But the lift of the valve would generally be .6xx with the TV#, if Im not mistaken, its rather high lift and my CC is getting smaller, so I was wondering how close it is to the piston, also it will be @ somewhat of a lift when the piston is @ TDC due to overlap, but IM sure the lift isnt high enough to cause an issue at that point. and yes the duration also is what may cause an issue, but it isnt that bad on the TV3, nor what I was going to go with. 233/239 or something.

well let us know what they recomend. Id call myself, but freetime is hard to come by at this point, and I know they can be really hard to get ahold of. just started a swap for someone last night and Im goin to measure the clearance, then find out what options. if I can mill, I'll take them to a local machine shop. but Im curious to know what they recomend can be done w/o worry.
