head porters, few questions for ya regarding 5.3L heads to 241's. whats the diff. in the 5.3 head ports compared to 241's? I looking at a set of TSP stage 2.5's, just studying the ports, to see what works for them, and comparing in my mind to my own port job. really, things dont look much diff. at all. I like how they shaped the guides, and I wish I coulda/woulda remove the tumble ramp as much as these are. I know I could have picked up some more flow there. but I figured Id leave them in to keep the swirl as GM intended it to have.
but what I dont know is what the 5.3 swirl ramps look like untouched. are they the same as 853/241 shape?
what about that annoying hump in the chamber near the spark plug. its like a big square block in the middle of the chamber. these are pretty much removed. unless they dont have them originally?
