ive been told at least go to the 243 LS6 heads ppl told me that its a waste of money to do anything to the 241's cause they suck. as for the 706 never heard of them.

texas speed (sponsor) sell a budget set for like $900 cast #243 ls6 heads they come with stock ls6 springs good to about 570 lift. i would upgrade springs. these heads flow 307 cfm intake at 600 lift and about 215 cfm exhaust. great numbers for a reasonable price. they dont come with ls6 light weight sodium filled valves, $$. how much do you need? only you can answer what your rwhp goals are. good luck!

how come everyone thinks 241's suck?? have you guys actually seen what people run with ported 241's? Just a few months ago in GMHTP they had a shootout and almost all the cars were running ported 241's with nitrous and guess what all of them were deep into the 10's and the fastest one was running 9.4's with ported 241's and a large shot of nitrous. another guy i know personally is running ported 241's on his 402 and it hauls *** so ported 241's definately dont suck
