Question Lifter preload for LS7 lifters?

Does anyone know what the required preload is for these? I'm measuring my PR's and want to get it all right.

I initially had mine at .100 and found them to be a bit noisy. I changed my pushrods to 7.350 from 7.400 to have a .050 preload and notice that they are now a bit more noisy. Not too sure if you are looking for a quiet setup or a performance setup.

I think theyre a direct replacement for LS1 lifters, so I would think .080 is the sweet spot just like LS1 lifters.

LS1 has been out 10 yrs. and this info is not a sticky. Has anyone ever measured the preload when taking the engine apart? The same can be said for:
1. head gasket thickness
2. deck height
3. lifter dimension, i.e does the Cadi lifter need a diff length pushrod
4. port volumes on old and new heads

I went .070 cold on mine. Anywhere from .060-.100 seems to work fine...

.080-.100 is what you should shoot for.
