im getting a 98 motor in trade for a lt1 i have it has something wrong with it the guy bought it from a dealership as a warranty work motor, is the block ok to build a motor ut of or should i just sell it. i know the heads are kida useless being pereimeter bolt but the crank i would assum s the same.

he said there was somethign wrong with but he wasnt sure im thinking its a spun bearing so im gonna pull the oil pan when i get it

If its a spun bearing, just get new rods/pistons and have the crank turned down to match the new rods. The hone the block to accept the new pistons.
