way way way to close if not already hitting the pistons the trex is a monster. the duration kills it when it comes to pvc. 232intake 239exh duration is the biggiest i would go with stock uncut heads. thats just my opinion but i like to have at least .100 minimum pvc clearance.

The T-Rex fits tighter than the classic .080"/.100" P to V clearance guidelines, no doubt, but that hasn't stopped hundreds of people from running them without issue. Personally, I'd hate to take the chance, but most people do.
In answer to your pushrod question, 7.400" pushrods will work, but they're not the ideal length to maintain stock plunger depth. Since the XE-R lobes have a much smaller base circle than stock (1.440" vs 1.553"), you'll need a .0565" longer pushrod than stock to maintain stock geometry. Adding .0565" to the stock 7.38" pushrod length means that a 7.450" pushrod comes the closest.
