P/V clearance losses w/ Yella Terra rockers?
My noisy valvetrain is buggin my me. I've been hearing that Yella Terra rockers can quiet the car down a bit. I also like the idea of a few added horses to go along with that.
HOWEVER! I only have .085 P/V clearance, and am afraid that these rockers (which may add some lift) will make my P/V clearance dangerously close.
Cam is a TR 230.8/224.3 .576/.563 110.8LSA.
Heads are milled .010
Thoughts?

They sell a 1.7 and it should be the same as what you have now so I would say there should be no issue. I have them and I love them, I even gained 6RWHP and it did help with the noise ( I have manley double springs)

I can see your concern as the stock rockers can deflect and not be a true 1.7. Of course in some cases the stock rockers can vary from 1.7x to 1.6x. But I think the yella terras would help to ensure that there are no deflection issues in your valvetrain. As long as you are @ .085 I would imagine that you PTV should remain fairly close.

I read somewhere on this board ( I think) that they would lift about .02 to .025 more because they are a true 1.7 vs. the stockers. In any case, I have some on order and am sticking in a 240/240 cam, and with 2.08 intake valves-- well with dished out pistons its going to be close.
J-rod, love that title --Ive done some 6500+ clutch dumps myself, but Im told those days are over now. It would usually take me so long to get my rpms and everything just right that my reaction time would be like 2.xx...heheh.
