Default Pulling motor from bottom without lift

Did this yesterday and I must say it was quite easy. I would do this over a T56 swap anyday. I could even see doing it for a heads and cam swap and a must if I was doing a clutch at the same time.

One question I used the end of the frame rails right behind the bumper seemed like the best spot for the straps, the only thing that really worried me is the flexing of the car as I set it down on the jackstands you could visibly see it go back to straight. Is there a better place to lift from when I put the new motor in? Or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks to everyone on the forum I would have never tried this if it wasn't for past guys doing it and sharing there information!

Bobby

Yes I do big beefy ones, I talked to Jordan who's done a few of these and he said he lifted them from those spots plenty of times, I'm probably just being paranoid, the car is going to flex a bit.
