Technical ? about heads
Ok, I need some help being educated on the performance aspects of cylinder heads. I'm going to give you the specs on 2 unidentified heads, and I'd like to know which would be preferred and why.
Head #1: 2.02" intake, 1.575" exhaust, 225cc intake, decked and ported, with 64.5cc chambers.
Head #2: 2.05" intake, 1.60" exhaust, 225cc intake, 62cc chambers.
Well....I'll explain everything in the end. Thanks for the help!

It is all going to depend on the cam and the tune afterwards. You didnt say anything about what you are looking to get or if your car is auto or 6 speed or what kind of gear you have are going to get so until that you wont get the answer your looking for but good luck.

I am now dumber after reading this thread.
really, those specs of the heads are not telling us much at all. Need more data as well as what cam is being matched to the heads.

Really a wasted thread. For us to give a helpful answer we need more info.
Looks like your trying to compare 2 heads that are very similar. But who makes the heads, what do they flow? What cam are you using? What size motor do you have? What intake/TB are you running.
Basicially you have asked a question with such little info you are wasting peoples time.

I think he's trying to show that it doesn't matter what brand heads are, that they can still perform. It's a totally false assumption, so whatever. He's just trying to justify saving money. Get some trick flows if you have cash, or get TSP if you're on a budget.
The fact that the valve sizes are the same is like saying 2 cars are the same because they have the same size tires.
