right gears and stall and it should be ok. Certainly not going to be a tame kitten to drive. IT all comes down to individual taste.

All in the tune, find good tuner big cam's can drive around alot better than you think with a good tune.

my friend had this cam in his m6 car with stock gears. it drove fine but did buck in the lower rpms. if you do gears and a good size stall it should be fine. like they said just find a good tuner and it will be good

idle and dieing is in the tune. IT wont be much until 3500-400 rpms or so then it will scream to beat hell

My buddy has the T-Rex with Stage 2 heads in his 70 Nova. It is an A4 with a 4000 stall and 4.10 gears. It starts, runs, and idles great. No stalling either.

i have stock ported heads off my 98 trans am with ferrea 2.02/1.57 valves. comp 918 springs, comp 1.85 rockers(i know these have to go for sure) will this cam pose any problems with piston valve clearance? and will i need better springs???

Those larger valves are going to hurt your PtV clearance a lot. Not to mention Thunder Racing doesn't recommend anything over 1.7 rockers due to the fast ramp rates.

yeah i think you should talk to a shop first or definitely clay to check PTV clearance bc you may need to flycut your pistons. This cam is gonna be great up high but down low it will suffer. Are you sure you want that on a street car? You'll definitely want a big stall like 4000+ & 3.73s

I think you'll have to flycut.. the clearance is very minimal on stock valves.

Also, I think the 918's will float at close to 7000 rpm.. which you have to spin the T-Rex to in order to make the best power.
