Default Lifter Installation... simple question..

I'm installing stock lifters in a new engine, on the lifters there are 2 flat sides, on one flat side of the lifter there is a pin hole. I assume this if for oil to flow into the lifter.

I noticed I can install the lifters with the pin hole up or down. My question is which way is correct? I have been through my helms and it doesn't have any refence to the hole in the lifter.

Thx,
Lee

Pinholes can go either way.

Actually, they should be facing either the front or the rear of the engine, not up or down, but as Stevie said, it doesnt matter which way you install them. I installed all 16 of mine facing the rear of the engine.
