LS1 heads coming off/LS6 heads going on the 382 Well, I have got a set of S2 LS6 heads. They are being installed at the moment. Plus, I am installing Yella Terra rockers at the same time. I have basically the same setup as before. The only bummer is that I did not dyno my car with my MOSER diff. Oh well.
I will let you guys know about the gains and losses if any!

bdawg, My kit was one of the old ones (If a remember right) it was honed to 3.9. The new kits have a bit bigger pistons right now (3.905).

My new MTI 383 with their S2 LS6 heads dynoed 458rwhp/448rwtq last week. I am now getting some break-in mileage on the car and after 300-400 miles I hope to get near or crack the 470rwhp/450rwtq level.
Congrats on the new heads, I'm sure you'll love'em.

So who's installing the heads? Why didn't you install them yourself? I'll do em for $100
Anyways...hope it all goes well. Getting MTI LS6 heads on a 38X ci motor will be nice (Im hoping too). Like the motor above at 460, Im hoping to be int hat region with the X1 cam instead of the R1.
weeeeeeeeeeeee'll see.
