I'm tearing down my car for h/c, intake, and header install and its making me feel like its my first time workin on a car- anybody ever have a problem removing the dipstick tube, I've unbolted it tried by hand and w/ vicegrips i've also shot it with pb blaster all to no avail, any input would be appreciated, problably just has to due with the fact its a 98 model with 104k mi. back outside to let it screw with me some more.

just rock it back and forth while pulling up. its got a grommet holding it in the pan.

well i finally got it- removed the starter lightly gripped it with vicegrips and tapped the grips lighty with a massage tool
