Default tell me if this is right *valves*

Ok, took my valve covers off and when i pulled the passenger side, the only valve that was open was the exhaust valve on the rear cylinder. The driver side all looked normal with some valves open/closed/or half way in between. But like i said, the passenger side has only that one open. None of the others are even close to being open. Is it supposed to be like this.
Cam is an ms4 with prc duals and stock rockers and 7.4 tsp prs. Need help quick, trying to diagnose why it only turned a 12.6 in the 1/4

wtf?

that sounds impossible.

if that's the case then you ran a 12.6 on your right bank only...which is again, impossible.

yes, its tuned by vengeance racing, put down 421 rwhp and 395 tq. it has all supporting bolts, lts, ory, was running open cutouts, its an 02 so it has ls6 intake, ls7 clutch, 12 bolt w/3.73's. and was also running mt et streets 26x11.50 16's. here is the graphs, sorry you cant read them but i don't have a scanner only a camera.

anyway it peaked right at 6200 and i was shifting some where around 64-6500.

It all seems allright, unless it is making an internal noise, I would look elsewhere like suspention and weight transfer.
simple to see if you spin is to paint a bright white line on the tires, video take off and watch the line on tire.
What was your trap speed and 60'

i will just post my best slip all times.

1/8:8.244@88.85
1000:10.627

I know it wasn't launching good. I was dumping her at 3500 to 4000 and i know it would spin a little but no more than6-8 ft. I know the wrinkle walls are gonna eat some speed also but i was still expecting at least a 115 trap with the et streets on. May it is just my crappy driving with it. I was running 14 psi in the slicks also. And the car is a 1le so it is stiff as hell but i did disconnect the front sway bar also... So see if that can tell you anything predator.

isnt that a low trap for 420 HP. I dont think your car is making that much power on the road. That or its having knock retard. You should be way faster than that. Your 1/8th time is not far from a stock LS1 and you didnt cut a bad 60ft either.

well i trapped 109 bone stock, still breathing through the paper filter. Thats why i'm pissed, nearly 6 grand later and this is what i have. ***note*** that estimate is included with every thing including the rear which was a chunk****. I have pulled all the rockers and pushed down as hard as i could on all the push rods and none of them gave.... so i'm taking it that it is not a lifter problem (they are stock lifters, but car only has 14,000 on it now). So i'm confused. My rev limiter is set at 6750. Should i have that raised a little and try it on some et street radials?? Maybe shift @ 6800. Oh and i'm running on the stock tach and i already know it is off so i'm kind of guessing what i'm shifting at. But the tach is reading some where in the 6500 range.

none of it was far from stock. I run a 13.1@ 109 stock and my 8th was 8.5@ 85 mph. That was bone stock with a 2.0 60ft on good year f-1's. I gained .5 seconds and i'm pissed. I did all the work myself besides the tune. I'm thinking about putting her back on the dyno just to see what she pulls now, that sure won't lie!

What about your clutch?
Trap speed is a bit low.
Do you have relo-brackets and LCAs?

its and ls7 clutch, and it is brand new maybe 1000 miles on it and gripped fine with no slipping, the 12 bolt had the relo-brackets on it already but still have the stock lca's.

Just going to throw out the obvious here.... What were the weather conditions? What Track did you go to?? Commerce is about 2 to 3 mph slower than Silver Dollar any given day of the week... You should definately be in the mid to high teens mph wise, but weather/driving could be playing a major roll in the results.

If you have time man, come by the shop, we will strap it down for you and make sure your power is still there.

yeah Ron, thats what i was thinking about doing, just let me know when would be good for ya'll. Probably have to be one day next week, i work monday and thursday next week so just let me know. I know the weather was not great and my driving still probably isn't the best. I know its gonna lose some hp on the rollers since i have the 12 bolt now, but hey at least we would know if it is the driver mod for sure then!!!
