Default What would cause a spun rod bearing in 300 miles?

I was putting some break in miles on my new setup and it started making a knocking noise. It turns out that I have a badly chewed up rod bearing with only 300 miles on the setup. I'm not very happy. I never even got to run it hard. Could this be the builders fault?

That's what I'm thinking as well. This was built by a big name sponsor here. I'll be calling them back tomorrow. After my initial call to them I'm anxious to see how they blame this on me.
