Scoggin Dickey carries them.

Their price is better than Katech.

Katech does not make the C5R blocks.

I typically see them going for $6100 with main caps.

I have heard of used ones with shaved motor mounts selling for less than $4000.

ooh that is expensive. do you know how much hp they are supposed to handle? so do you guys think it is worth the money? if i blow my engine im definately going to buy a bare block and build it up. i would definately use a poweradder so would want the strongest block i could get. oh, btw, is the C5R the strongest LS1 block available?

it is supposed to be the strongest LS1 style block available, it has a 4.120 bore. if you are looking for a good strong setup go with LQ4 truck block bored to .030-.040 over with a 4" stroke. get forged internals and spray the **** out of it

How much is a 4.125 resleeved block these days... $3000?

It is a big jump to $6000 for a block but the block won't drop a sleeve and for some radical setups it made sense for them to jump up to the C5R block.

no question! if you are pushing the envelope on bore and stroke then the C5R block is the way to go
