Sounds like the TR224 is for you, get it on a 112 LSA and you can't go wrong

Catted y-pipe means an earlier exhaust valve opening point. Maybe 50 degrees BBDC. A stock compression LS1 running an LS6 intake with a street racing automatic and 3600 stall will want an intake valve closing point around 44 degrees ABDC at .050". Daily driven street car is happiest with 10 degrees or less overlap at .050".

yup, go with patrick, i was gonna suggest a very similar sized cam that sounds like it will meet your needs better than a 224 would

The cam sticky above is outstanding for broadening your cam knowledge:

Read that, then come back with any questions you may have.

Catted Y-pipe with that much overlap and exhuast duration with the EVO is going to burn the cats to the ground.

That hasn't been my experience. Hasn't been LG's or Thunder's either. Are you basing that on opinion or fact? Truth is, 10 degrees of overlap with an EVO of 50 degrees BBDC can hardly be called excessive. Just look at all the G5 cammed Vettes running catted exhausts. Most have more overlap and exhaust duration than what I'm recommending.

crane hr5 lobe 232/236 .600/.600 112+3. works very well in 3600+ stall cars with excellent street manners. 2800-6400 rpm band, with peak around 6400.
