Default Need Help with My Heads!

Well, I bought a set of Livernois Stage 1 LS6 heads, and had them deck .030 to bring them to 62cc???, but some how they where decked another .025 before I received them. So I had them cc'd to check and see what they are because I was having PTV problems, and they came to 59cc. The cam Im running is the Torquer 2.

So what will that do with my compression?

Will I be able to run that on the street with 93 pump gas?

One more question what head gasket should I be running? I already bought new GM gaskets for it but I thought I would ask?

Stock thickness GM gaskets?

I have a feeling you're SOL. Just a quick calculation with the TR224 (a much smaller cam) and a 59 CC head put me at 11.80 SCR and 9.23 DCR which is much too high for pump gas. (8.4-8.5 on 91 octane gas, and 8.7-8.8 on 93.) If I get the specs for your cam I'll run them but its not looking good.

yeah bro the lift and duration on that cam will definitely not like the cc size on those heads. its either a smaller cam or a new set of heads.

I think that you made a mistake LS6 heads are 64cc stock, a .030" mill would take them down to about 60cc.

I ran a check on your set up with piano prodigy's DCR calculator and with a .052 gasket, I got 11.49 SCR and 8.70 DCR, that is for a 112+2 cam and no flycuts, If you flycut (which you pretty much have to do at this point), your can run a little thinner head gasket. It seems about like a perfect set up to me.

LS6 heads should be milled .005/.006 " /cc. Your .030" mill gives you a 59cc chamber.

.030/.006 = 5 ccs, 64-5 = 59 cc

I do plan on fly cutting no matter what, but im just wanting to know if I could run this on the street. Also I plan on just using the GM gaskets unless I need a thicker one. My cam is installed dot to dot does that make that big of a diffenrce?
