Default CNC'd Edelbrock heads - rocker bolts in the intake ports (pics included)

I was installing stock rocker arms into my LS7-based stroker when I noticed that rocker bolts go quite deep into intake ports...:

...so I decided to shorten the bolts a bit. I guess this is ok?

Probably fine since that portion of the bolt wouldn't be doing any good anyway!

Yes and recommended that you do, or just use shorter bolts in the first place

Just about all ported heads have that. Make sure you use thread sealer on the bolts that poke through or you risk allowing oil into the combustion chamber.

i'm pretty sure the edelbrock rocker bolts, will work in factory heads along with factory rockers. arp is making these rocker bolts for them as well.
