Purchased LS6 Cam, What else do I need?
Hey guys, I have done a search all over, and I still can't find the definitive answer on this. I have a 2001 WS6 A4, and I just purchased a 2003 LS6 cam. What else do I need to make this thing work? Do I need longer pushrods or heavier duty springs? I'm sure this question has been answered already, but I probably didn't understand the answer. So could someone please, come up with a list of the other things that I will need with this cam to make it work.

Anyone else? I just want to make sure before I go and put this thing in. Question on the LS6 springs; Will I have any clearance issues, with the stock springs? Are the LS6 springs just stronger?

They are a direct replacment. No need to worry about clearance. But, there has been some talk about pushrod length with the LS6 Cam as of late, maybe someone can chime in on that....

I blew my motor last September and when I got a new one I put the LS6 cam in. All I needed was the cam and the springs. You got a higher lift, so you should get new springs. I was even able to use the stock spring retainers. I now hove 8000 miles and not a problem at all. Runs Great!!

I am also using the stock length pushrods. All u need are 2002-03 LS6 valve springs, gaskets and a new crank bolt. The crank bolts are a torque to yield bolt and once torqued cannot be reused.

Excellent, thanks everybody for the info. Did you guys notice any difference on the butt-dyno? I hope it's a worthwile mod. All I've got now is and MTI lid K&N filter, descreened MAF and a QTEC.

The biggest difference I found is the it pulls harder and harder all the way to redline! I want LS1 EDIT to bumop it up. I like it!
