Default Who has made the most power with a 224 cam or smaller?

I'm curious to know what the rwhp record is for a 346 with a 224 cam or smaller.

By "224" here I mean a 224 intake and no more than about a 228-230 exhaust. Daily driver cam, in other words.

Is that the "AFR cam" with AFR 205 heads? I'm thinking of the same combo on my car.

C'mon guys. Shirley there's more than one guy here who has put down good numbers with a cam that is 224 or under.

BTW, 452 is a nice number.

My old setup was a 223/227 .636/.639 110LSA cam with AFR 225 heads.

475 rwhp/429 rwtq. Had torque like you wouldn't believe down low.

Dang those are good #'s! But I only made 360rwhp unlocked w/ 4k stall but my times are in the sig. I think that were it really counts. I glad it made it for it though.

My previous combination I think still holds the small cam record at 480/441 in my M6 C5 (best run of course)....routinely laid down 477/435.

AFR 205 heads, my ported 90/90, and of course all the bolt-ons (EWP, UD, LG Pro long tubes, Exedy Clutch, etc.). About 11.3 to 1 CR and it made that power on 91 octane. Also noteworthy was this power was achieved thru a 3.90 ring and pinion as well....

Perfect driving manners and idled like a ***** cat (114 LSA). If there were ever a 346 "wolf in sheeps clothing" contest it would have taken top honors.

This combination is the one that put the 224/228 AFR cam on the map...(AFR P/N 6016)

Regards,
Tony

ported and milled 241 heads, 224/228 581/588 110lsa , threw a 12 bolt with 4.30 gears and heavy Denny's nitrous ready driveshaft, Mamo ported Fast 90/90,e/waterpump. Would be in the high 460 to low 470 range if it was a stock rear but it wasnt. 452rwhp and 408rwtq on Slowhawks dyno which is know to read lower than most.

397/375 stock untouched 99 heads, ls6 intake, ported stock TB, UDP, Jethots, 4.10 geared 10 bolt, ORY, Borla, 6 speed, LS1 edit. By no means a record, but still seems just as good as many of the "big" cams and I ran 119.3 on a 1.89 60ft leaving at 3200. Full weight ttop car with OE suspension.
