Default Head bolts

I have had to replace a colasped lifter in my 99 LS1, due to the replacement I'm now in a bind concerning my head bolts the manual says not to reuse them. I'm wanting to know is it possible to reuse them? I'm currently out of town with my car and can't get replacement bolts until for two or more days and I need to be on the road tomorrow.

i would not reuse the stock head bolts. any bolt that is stretched that much when torquing to spec...i would not reuse. unless of course it is a bolt that is known to be reusable...like a lot of the arp bolts. head bolts are not that expensive...so my advice is to be safe...buy some new bolts.

Sorry man the stock bolts are Torque To Yield one time use only. Most GM dealerships should have them in stock. If you reuse them you will taking a HUGE risk of shearing a bolt, improper sealing or leaks. If all else fails I'm sure Summit or Jegs could overnight the ARPs.
