Default First Start Up.

Is there any way to prime a new LSx engine(370) for first start up? I have heard that turning it over until is builds is not good. The only thing I have read that people do, it make sure it starts right away, and let it go from there. If anyone has any info on this please let me know.

pull the ignition relay and the fuel pump fuse.

crank for 10 seconds

wait 10 seconds

crank 10 seconds

wait 10 seconds
(you should see oil pressure on the gauge at this point)
crank 10 seconds

put the fuse and relay back in

fire it up.

you could just unplug the coilpacks and let the engine turn over a few times .

pulling the ignition relay does the same thing. It seemed like this guy needs specific instructions, not a general "a few times" thing.

EDIT- and you will flood the engine if you don't pull the fuel pump fuse. It may get into the oil.

Make sure you have fuel pressure, and fire it up. You wont build enough pressure by turning it over without spark. Just make sure you pull the oil filter and fill it up.

Other than that, theres really nothing else to do..

Its gonna be LOUD AS HELL.. After a few seconds your pressure will jump up.
