How much cam retard - say after 10,000 miles on a new chain?

Shouldn't be much if any. I just took out my stocker @ 40k and it was not loose at all.

I did some measuring once with an old chain compared to a new chain on the same motor and cam. I found less than a half degree change. The old chain was pretty slack too.
