Default How high of a redline can I go?

And what mods would gain an even higher redline? I'm ordering parts and so far I'm just at the cam kit. Looking at a 232/234 or 236/238 cam, but I was wondering about what sort of redline I'll be looking at. What would be needed to run up to 7krpm? Is higher redline possible, and if so, with what mods? Thanks in advance.

it'll be a timebomb at a higher redline, you still have to remember about the rest of the rotating assembly. those stock rod bolts arnt on your side at that high of an rpm

i ran the torquer v2 (232-234) with double springs on a 7000 shift point on first gear and 2-3-4 on 6700, with a 4200 stall. has been running for 1 1/2 year now.

When I said cam kit, I meant all the supporting mods like springs, pushrods, and retainers. So I'll also need some rockers like Scorpions or YT's and some rod bolts as well for a 7k rpm redline? Any way of going higher?

+1, most cam's start to fall off in power at 6500. Why do you want to go above 7000?

those cams wont make any good power above 7000 anyways. To get there and stay there SAFELY over and over, I recommend:

Caddy lifters
new timing chain
springs
ARP connecting rod bolts
pushrods
rockers

And you should be able to spin higher than you need to.

What the difference between the caddy lifters and the ls1 or ls6 lifters?
