Default RPMs jump up randomly

i originally posted this in the PCM section but i figured it would be better off in here cause i got no bites, my issue is as follows:

my dilemna begins with a cam install. i am yet to get the car dyno tuned (everyone around here is packed) so i sent my computer to TSP for a mail order tune. the car drives fine except for the car likes to randomly rev up to about 3-4k. sometimes even when i'm in gear the car will accelerate on it's own. it eventually settles down to idle but at times it takes quite a while to do that. i drove the car before the tune and it did the same thing. so i decided to check the throttle body, everything is normal. the car can be revving somehow even with the blade closed (which i don't understand how) and i also changed the throttle position sensor for good measure. i feel like the new tps helped a bit, but not much. therefore i concluded that it must be computer related. anyone have any ideas or had this happen to them after a cam install? thanks

Jacob

I'm thinking it might be a slight vaccum leak.

Did you take your intake off?

The brake booster hose does, and also the real skinny one that plugs in on the passenger side by the MAP sensor does.
