Roller Rocker Problem

Roller Rocker Problem
We just installed a new set of roller rockers on a Ls1. We torqued the roller rocker arms on at 22ft/lbs. We made sure we buttoned everything back up and when we tried to start the car it barely managed to turn over twice the first time, it wouldn't start, and every time we tried to start it after that it wouldn't even turn over. I'm thinking that we tightened the roller rocker bolts on too tight. If anyone can give any feedback or a detailed guide other then the Yella Terra guide, because i used that guide and aparrently the torque specifications are wrong, because we put everything back on perfectly.

PRC Dual Spring Valve Springs, Texas Speed Hardened Pushrods, MS4 Cam, stock heads. I'm beginning to think that the battery is dead, but i hooked it up to my friends ????? and it still didn't start up, so we're going to check things out and see if we missed something, and the Yella Terra guide is the same one I used, I'm not using those type of Roller-Rockers, mine are not attatched they're independant..

If they are independent and have a center adjustment nut, you don't use the 22 pound torque. With 22 pounds torque, you have completely bottomed the lifters. I am now doing some Comp cams individuals and on my motor .0060 preload is one full turn after the rocker reaches zero lash. I am adjusting the intake when the same cylinder exhaust valve starts to open and I adjust the exhaust when the intake has reached full open and just starting back up.
