Question rod and piston ??

what would you recomend for 347 forged,good to 7500 rpm's im not going to turn that much but id rather be safe than sorry,im thinking compstar and dimond,let me know what you think??

I used Diamond with tooled steel wrist pins and Eagle 6.200 rods.
Bore 3.905
Compression 1.229
Top ring and second ring both 1.5


They were for a nitrous motor though. Are you planning on spraying or boost? Maybe just N/A seems like. I never had a problem. Just depends on what you are wanting to do. Apparently you are going N/A just looking at the RPM's you want to run. I would think that you would almost want to setup for a solid roller if you are that serious. If you are wanting it to just be safe then 7,200 is more than enough.

The cam you are gonna need to run for that RPM will have to be a really good sized one either way. Most of them taper off before 7,000, so it isn't gonna be one of those off the shelf kinda deals either.
