Default single or double roller chain?

Search can blow me.

I've decided to get the MS4 cam(i don't want oppinions on my cam choice so don't bother)

I was wondering if you guys think i should run a single or double roller chain?

Also, what size pushrods do you think would be best? I think the basecircle Dia. is the same as stock but i've emailed TSP about it to be sure...

Double is just added weight as far as I am concerned now. There are singles that are just as reliable these days. Like the LS2

I went with the Katech single, a bit more money but it survived all the C5R racing without failure.

I am sure the the Katech chain is very high quality as all their parts are and I am sure it has a high quality price tag to go with it. I work in a Chevy dealership and I have yet to see a LS2 chain failure..I put 45,000 miles on the first one I used and put another in when I did the latest cam swap ... for $28 you can't beat it for quality/value. I make over 500 HP and it works great .. anyway I dont plan on running at Le Mans any time soon ..

Actually, I saw someone who had broken one last week, can't remember which forum (might have been on the GTO sight). Scared the bajeesus out of them though. When I bought mine, the LS2 was still a rumor

It's a lot of extra work to swap the chain considering the time required to drop the pan just to remove the one bolt that holds the pump pickup tube flange in place. It's probably worth the extra work to install a double chain if your running big lift with high duration and dual springs. I've done it several times and it adds a lot of time to a cam swap with all the oil pan bolts you have to remove just to get that one little pump flange bolt out.
