SO I Still need lifters
I have over 88k on the car and dont think its wise to use my stock lifters.
Just got in my head/cam package from Texas speed
Torquer v3 and 5.3 stage 2.5 heads...
what lifters should I use that will work well with the 7.400" pushrods?
Also will I need new cam bearings?
what else will I need?
the heads are assembled already( retainers, guides, valves, springs)
plus I have the cam, pushrods, ported oil pump, timing chain, gaskets, head bolts....

Also what about cam bearings? I have no idea how an bare LSx block looks.

If you have to do cam bearings, the motor needs to come out of the car and be disassembled. Generally you should be ok, just be careful not to bang the cam around on removal or installation. The bearings are cheap, around $15-$20, but cannot be changed in the car. You can really only see the front bearing with the motor in the car. Check the cam and make sure there are no bad wear marks in it. Rubbing a fingernail on the journals will ensure there is no scuffing or pitting. As long as that checks out put the new cam in
